What do you get when you take internationally acclaimed architect, Cutler Anderson, from Seattle, WA and commission him to build a 7,300 sq. ft. house on the family estate in Purchase, NY? You get a set of architectural plans that are distinctive, interesting but not designed for New England weather.
The ultimate design and construction was for a house that was rather unique in elements of style, composition and building material used. Early on, the client, two chief architects, three designers, client owner’s representative, and the two occupants caused Karp Associates’ building team to realized this project would need an extended time schedule. While the house was unique in exterior elements, it was truly a custom house inside with 22 televisions, two media rooms, eight refrigerators, a 400 sq. ft. custom master bedroom closet, interior electric dog fence and a master shower with eight separate shower devices.
